Michael J. Stanton
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Stanton has spent almost 30 years representing motor vehicle manufacturers before Congress, the Executive Branch, state legislatures and international automobile associations. At the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, he was Vice President, Government and International Affairs, and prior to that, he was Director of Federal Government Affairs at the American Automobile Manufacturers Association. Mr. Stanton also spent over 11 years with the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association where he was responsible for federal and state issues. He has been an active member of several auto industry-related boards and is recognized as an expert on issues affecting the industry. Mr. Stanton was awarded several citations during his military assignment in Vietnam. A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Stanton received his B.A. in English from Wheeling Jesuit College and his M.S.A. in Financial Management from George Washington University. |

Ellen J. Gleberman
Vice President and General Counsel
Ms. Gleberman has spent most of her legal career representing international automobile companies. Before joining AIAM in 2005, she spent 15 years with Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) as its Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, overseeing the legal and public affairs activities for Mitsubishi Motors’ operations in North America and serving as a member of its board of directors. Prior to MMNA, Ms. Gleberman was a litigator with several major law firms in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles. In 2000, Automotive News selected her as one of the "100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry." Ms. Gleberman received her B.A. in Government from Oberlin College and her J.D. from the Washington College of Law, American University. |

John M. Cabaniss, Jr.
Director, Environment and Energy
Mr. Cabaniss has been with AIAM since 1995, focusing on legislative and regulatory activities at both the federal and state levels related to vehicle emissions control and fuel economy. Prior to joining AIAM, he worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Office of Mobile Sources in Washington, D.C., the Emissions Control Technology Division in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the Virginia Air Pollution Control Board in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Cabaniss has a B.S. from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University. |

Michael X. Cammisa
Director, Safety
As the Director of Safety, Mr. Cammisa provides information and analysis to AIAM members on legislative and regulatory activities affecting vehicle safety. Prior to joining AIAM in 2000, Mr. Cammisa worked for five years as a research analyst with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. He has authored research papers on topics including the performance of frontal air bags, seat belt use rates, and passive alcohol sensors. Mr. Cammisa's career also includes experience as an engineering and management consultant for Advanced Technology, Inc., Arthur D. Little, Inc. and Robbins-Gioia, Inc. Mr. Cammisa received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia, his M.B.A. from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina, and his Masters of Public Policy from Georgetown University. |

Kim E. Custer
Director, Communications
Mr. Custer directs the Association's outreach to the news media and provides information to policy makers, industry executives and consumers on issues important to the automotive industry. He has extensive automotive industry experience managing public affairs, corporate communications, media relations and crisis management, including more than 15 years in charge of communications for two of AIAM's member companies, Mitsubishi and Kia. Mr. Custer began his career on Capitol Hill and received a B.A. in Government and History at the University of Maryland. |

Paul D. Ryan
Director, Government Affairs
Mr. Ryan has expertise on a wide variety of automotive issues and joined AIAM after working with Nissan North America's Government Affairs Office for twelve years. Mr. Ryan has extensive experience with Congress, Executive Branch Offices and Regulatory Agencies, as well as in organizing coalition and grass-roots lobbying efforts and media relations. His career includes legislative positions on Capitol Hill, the Department of Defense and the Embassy of Japan. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Illinois State University and his M.A. in Public Policy from Loyola University of Chicago. Mr. Ryan studied in Japan and speaks conversational Japanese. |
